The Cantones are a conservative family who own a pasta factory in South Italy. One of the two sons, Tommaso, returns home from studying and prepares to reveal his homosexuality to his family. But when his plans are thwarted, Tommaso gets stuck on the path that he was desperately trying to avoid.
