Joint Managing Directors Richard Payten and Andrew Mackie launched Transmission in 2008. Since then Transmission has released such films as The King's Speech, Amour, Samson & Delilah, The Railway Man, Calvary, Shame, Tracks, Mr Turner, Holding The Man, Suffragette, Carol, Brooklyn and Lion.
Richard and Andrew’s 23-year partnership has seen them release over 180 films and generate over $340 million at the box office. The films they have acquired and distributed have won 9 Palme d’Ors, been nominated for 51 Academy Awards and received over 220 AACTA nominations. They have handled the release and marketing campaigns for over 100 Australian Films.
