On the eve of its MIFF Centrepiece Gala World Premiere Saturday 12 August, Transmission Films today released the poster for writer/director/comedian Ben Elton’s new feel-good Australian feature film THREE SUMMERS. A spirited take on the annual festival goers at a regional music festival over three consecutive years, THREE SUMMERS is confirmed for a November 2 national theatrical release.

The striking illustrated poster features the film’s romantic leads ROBERT SHEEHAN (Misfits) and REBECCA BREEDS (Home and Away, Molly) surrounded by the all-star Australian cast including MAGDA SZUBANSKI, MICHAEL CATON, KELTON PELL, DEBORAH MAILMAN and JOHN WATERS.

Ben Elton will be joined on the Red Carpet at Saturday’s World Premiere event by stars MADGA SZUBANSKI (Kath & Kim, Babe, Happy Feet), MICHAEL CATON (Last Cab to Darwin, The Castle), KELTON PELL (Cloudstreet, Redfern Now, The Moodys), ROBERT SHEEHAN (Misfits) and REBECCA BREEDS (Home & Away, Molly) in her impressive debut feature film lead role.

Embracing the diversity of this typically Australian community as it gathers together in a music tent, the film fuses romance and music with Elton’s trademark wit and satirical edge, touching on a number of contemporary Australian issues, and with the soundtrack for the summer to come.
