A wonderful parody of 1950's American society, A King in New York, follows King Igor Shahdov's adventures in the Big Apple after a revolution in his country forces him from the throne. Shahdov becomes an accidental television celebrity, experiments with plastic surgery and is wrongly accused of being a Communist.
Produced in Europe after Chaplin's exile from the U.S.A. in 1952, A King In New York also stars Sid James.
